It's Their Home Too.
Often sighted on Sudbury waterways, mute swans were brought to North America by European settlers during the 1870s to adorn parks, gardens and estates. Since then, feral populations have established and flourished in some areas due to escapes from captivity or intentional releases. Sudbury has been host to small populations of this majestic bird.
Many local species of water fowl and other creatures call Lilly Creek their home. |
