Sudbury Regreening Program

The City of Greater Sudbury's Regreening Program, which has focused on rehabilitating Sudbury's landscape and watersheds, saw the regreening of 3,400 hectares of land across Sudbury.  Collectively that's the size of Nova Scotia's Sable Island.  The effort was made possible by the brilliant work of university-based scientists, community volunteers, a few dedicated mining company staff and government subsidies.  Keeping the city green and clean is up to all of us.

Creek Clean-up Crew

Every year on Earth Day, Aprill 22nd, we sponsor a clean-up crew to clear debris and litter from our Lily Creek Waterways.  Feel free to sign up and join us in the effort.  It's a great day out with family and friends and a great reminder of how vital this waterway is to our city.
